This is done entirely without expectation or obligation. Some people already have a very good idea of exactly what they want; others are less sure. Either way I can help you to become clear about whether or not you want to take things further.
If you decide that the idea is worth pursuing then we will discuss the project in more detail. This usually requires a visit from me so that I can get to know you and the building that the piece is going to live in.

Once we feel that we have found together a good sense of what is required I will prepare a proposal for you, consisting of one or more designs together with a firm quotation for the cost. You may decide that you like one of the designs enough to go ahead with the project straight away, or you might want to refine things further. We can bat ideas back and forth until you are completely happy. Then – if you wish to proceed – I will ask you for a 10% deposit to book a place in my construction schedule. I ask for a further 40% at the commencement of construction with the balance due on delivery.
